Howard University Graduate Gives $1,500 in Student Scholarships
Jerron Hawkins, a 2019 graduate, made other students’ lives more manageable through his Reach Foundation, a nonprofit scholarship fund.
Hawkins launched the scholarship in September 2018 with his own money and awarded three $500 scholarships to Howard University students before he graduated.
Reach Foundation’s mission is to disrupt negative cycles and establish a productive and uplifting culture for collegiate minorities.
The foundation will provide three types of scholarships, facilitate mentorship, and highlight the impact minority college students can have on their campuses and in their communities.
