DEEP AZURE

On March 27, a staged reading of Chadwick Boseman’s play, “Deep Azure,” featuring a cast of acclaimed actors and directed by Howard alumnus NSangou Njikam, was held at the historic Howard Theatre to benefit the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. The event, which raised funds for student scholarships and more, was inspired by the true story of a police-involved killing of a Howard student. In attendance were members of Boseman’s family, current students and alumni, as well as faculty and staff – some of whom went to school with Boseman or even had the actor as a student.
