Adventist HealthCare and Howard University, which operates the Howard Faculty Practice Plan, have signed a two-year management services agreement in which Adventist HealthCare will support and manage all practice operations at the Faculty Practice Plan. The agreement began April 1, 2023.
Adventist HealthCare’s new leadership team is working closely with the Faculty Practice Plan (FPP), physicians, and leaders at the University and Howard University Hospital over the next several months. The physicians and staff at the FPP will remain employees of Howard University.
The importance of a strong physician network to support the growing needs of the community is integral to the shared commitment to provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered health and wellness services to all, including high-risk and underserved communities.
The partnership helps to create a stronger, deeper connection between Howard University Hospital, the Faculty Practice Plan, Adventist HealthCare and the communities they serve and to expanding access to care through the Washington, D.C. region.
