Freshman Reagann Sinclaire Davis, an interior design major from Prince George’s County, Maryland, is transforming dorms, apartments, and small living spaces into personalized sanctuaries with her business, Reagann’s Design Divine. Davis created her interior design company in 2024 to provide her community with spaces centered on tranquility, comfort, and emotional balance.

“I noticed how many college students struggle to make their living spaces feel peaceful, functional, and truly their own,” said Davis. “As someone who has designed part of a Marriott Hotel and has always had a strong eye for detail, I wanted to use my skills to help students feel more at home — especially when transitioning into a new environment.”

Regann’s Design Divine services include designing mood boards, room planning, décor curation, and hands-on space transformations. “Whether clients want bold colors, soft neutrals, maximalist décor, or minimalistic organization solutions, I bring each vision to life with precision and creativity,” Davis said. “I believe your environment shapes your mindset, and I want everyone to feel grounded in the spaces they live in. Reagann’s Design Divine is built on the belief that everyone deserves a space that reflects who they are and supports their well-being. My mission is to merge creativity with purpose, turning ordinary spaces into environments that inspire peace, productivity, and pride.”

As a first-year student, Davis is still mapping out her academic pathway, one that she hopes leads to her becoming a professional interior designer. She explained that the university’s interior design program pushes her to think critically, solve problems in a creative way, and sharpen her eye for details.

“My time at Howard has taught me resilience and professionalism, while giving me the structure to manage clients, deadlines, and creative direction with intention,” Davis said. “Through my coursework at Howard and real-world design projects, I plan to expand my skills in architecture, color theory, furniture design, and spatial planning. Howard has strengthened my confidence as a young Black designer and entrepreneur.”

Davis also noted the importance of her Bison network in growing her business.

“My Howard peers have been some of my biggest supporters,” she said. “Many classmates have reached out for dorm design consultations, reposted my work on social media, and referred friends who want to elevate their living spaces. Fellow Bison artists, content creators, and entrepreneurs have also collaborated with me on promotion and creative projects. This sense of community has helped my business grow faster than I expected.”

Upon completing her undergraduate career, Davis hopes to grow Reagann’s Design Divine into a full-service design studio that offers large-scale renovations, brand collaborations, and community-centered design projects.
