From the President
From Opening Convocation to my inauguration, to Charter Day and now Commencement — thank you for an absolutely memorable first year.
From Opening Convocation to my inauguration, to Charter Day and now Commencement — thank you for an absolutely memorable first year.
This academic year, 49 states and territories were represented on our campus, as well as 25 countries spanning from Nepal to Nigeria.
On Howard’s campus today, there are a myriad of ways for students to identify themselves with less fear of retaliation or judgement that may have been once upon a time.
To fill the role of president of Howard University is to walk in a space that impacts not just a campus, not just one community, but a nation and the world.
We – and the entire Howard community and beyond – know that Dr. Frederick – a doctor, businessman, administrator, leader, parent – is someone who cannot be cloned, and that his story should be shared.
Howard University has more Black women leading our University than at any other institution of higher education in the country.
When female students can see themselves in a leader, the results can be extraordinary.
